Green Day took place in Carrickleck NS on Friday 16th March 2018.
Everyone dressed up in green clothes to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
The pupils in 2nd class celebrated their First Confessions with the school community on Shrove Tuesday. Thanks to their teacher Ms. Fitzpatrick and their parents for their great work of preparation. They are wished every blessing over the coming months of preparation for First Holy Communion.
On June 28th we said goodbye to our 6th class pupils as we closed for our summer holidays. They were presented with a certificate and an engraved pen as a memento of their time in primary school. We wish them the very best of luck as they prepare to begin secondary school and we hope that they leave with many happy memories of their time spent in Carrickleck NS.
On June 28th the parents and pupils bid farewell to Micheál and Catherine Kieran on their last day at school. Micheál is retiring after 46 years teaching, 33 of which were spent in Carrickleck. They would like to thank everyone for their cards and presents, good wishes and kindness and hope that the pupils and staff will have an excellent year next year and continued success and joy in the years to come.
The pupils and staff presented Sandra Clarke with a bouquet of flowers to thank her for her work in the school for the past year.
