Art in Carrickleck N.S.
We love doing Art in our school.
December 2021: Pupils in the senior room used shoeboxes to create Christmas scenes. Each diorama was unique and imaginative.
November 2021: Pupils in the senior room have been learning all about the Vikings. They worked in groups to create project which they presented to the class. We learnt lots of new and interesting facts. In Art, we used cardboard to create Viking shields with fantastic designs and patterns.
Since coming back to school in September, we have been studying some famous artists such as Picasso, Edvard Munch, Claude Monet, Paul Henry, Henri Matisse and most recently George Seurat in the senior room. We really enjoyed making St. Brigid’s crosses to celebrate St. Brigid’s Day. In the junior room we have created some beautiful owls, created a Winter Wonderland and a lovely beach scene to name but a few. We regularly enter competitions, both local and national and we have been very successful in recent years.
Here are some recent art activities in the school. We hope you like them!
